shoot with Basty

Almost dark when we started, and the weather does not look inviting, in fact, it has been the main reasons why we have rescheduled this shoot for I think 3rd-4th time already...

We nearly had the chance yesterday, no sunshine, raining, and the locations that we have decided to take the shoot are closed.

Luckily we pulled some shots but I decided to told Nazarene (Basty's mom) that I want to have a reshoot session with them again if we had a chance. Im a little bit of a perfectionist, though this is a free session, I still want to give my best and make the parents happy, incorporate my style and bring some props.. 

In the mean time, here are some of the shots we took yesterday, good thing Basty is in the mood yesterday.. I think we had a 10 minutes shoot all in all.. 

As you can see, its almost dark when started shooting, my speed is so slow and my ISO is starting to be irritating in my eyes, im still happy with the results, and the parents are awesome thats why i didnt hesitated to offer another session.

The struggle is part of the story

received a terrible message. i felt i was treated like nothing when i gave my everything..

but still im staying positive towards this, no this incident will not shattered me..

i will shoot, i will shoot... ill give my best, i will master my craft.. i know who i wanted to be, and this petty things will not weakened me...

i know better things will come to me... bigger than the one i lost...

The genre that i love: Photographing people

Been going into confusion this past days of what really genre should i focus... I love shooting weddings/events, newborns/kids, glamour/boudoir portraits and now will introduce photobooth in my business... Been really confuse, but after surfing the net, found out that im not the only photographer who deals with this "problem", I saw Kelly Brown and Meg Bitton shoot newborns and weddings, I saw Little Posers is now shooting boudoir - Luxe Boudoir and saw Sue Bryce photograph kids and engagement sessions.. 

Decided that yes, I will continue to shoot the genre that I love, and that genre is about photographs of people, photographs that they will treasure forever, photographs that will last a lifetime, and photographs that will make them remember that very moment that made them feel so special...

2nd Baguio trip

Went for a weekend vacation with family in Baguio.. Managed to pull some shots.. Excuse my macro photography skills, its not my thing though i think i have some decent shots to share... definitely will try to shoot macros again.. its like im brought to a whole new different world... how i love my new baby lens "Bull's eye"... and more pictures of my daughter.. hoping you'll like it.. ^_^

My 4th baby arrived! nikkor 105mm 2.8g micro vr

Im so happy today! finally met my 4th baby! The nikkor 105mm 2.8g micro vr! after several days of thinking, finally made a decision and i know this is the best one from my choices... 

excuse my phone pics... i cant contain my excitement and had to share this to my FB...LOL!

Btw, all my photography gears have names, my d3100 is Nikko, my 50mm 1.8g is Nikki, my 17-50mm 2.8 Tamron is Tammy, and this lens as my bunso, i named him Bull's eye! 

and here is a sample shot of this lens... ridiculously sharp! im inlove...!

cant wait to use this for my shoots! ^_^

1st newborn photosession: A day with Caleb

Been searching for about 3-4 days for my 1st newborn model, and finally Caleb came. Though He was a fuzzy baby, yes he is wide awake and could never be laid in our set up for 4 hours, we still manage to take some few shots. I learned a lot from him, really "patience is a virtue" when it comes to new born photography. I told myself yesterday that, "oh my! i really want to do this forever!". Moments like this are once in a lifetime and i got the chance to capture it for the parents to treasure for a lifetime. I love my job, i will do this forever.
